For the most common types of damage to your home or home contents, we will explain the best thing to do, what evidence we need from you and how we will settle your claim. Unless it says ‘not necessary’, you must always report the damage to us.

Water damage because of a roof leak or burst pipe

Make use of our repair service. If leak detection is necessary because it is the only way to detect the leak without any hacking and breaking, we will hire a specialized company for you. Will you take care of repairing consequential damage yourself? If so, first take photos of the pipe and consequential damage and save the affected materials.

Burst pipe
If there is consequential damage such as wallpaper or stucco, repair is insured. We will also reimburse the cost of locating the burst pipe and repairing it.

Roof leak
If there is consequential damage such as painting or plastering, repair is insured. Repair of the roof itself is not insured.

When reporting your claim in the MyZone, indicate that you want to use the repair service. We will contact you to make the arrangements.

Complete your claim by adding additional information such as photos, purchase receipts or repair bills on the My Claims page of MyZone. Once your file is complete, we will process your claim within three working days.

Your claim will be processed further by One Underwriting. One Underwriting is the link between Aon and insurers that offers you a fast and efficient claims service. Once you receive notification that you are entitled to compensation, we will transfer the amount to you within ten working days.
